REFUND POLICY IN EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER
Cancellation or Termination of a Performance
The Mecklenburg State Theater Schwerin believes “The show must go on” and makes every effort to hold scheduled performances even when the weather is “doubtful”. We wish you to know that performances will occur or continue even when it rains. This may mean the “curtain” will be delayed or a performance interrupted when it rains. We therefore urgently recommend that audiences wear clothing that is rainproof and warm (it often gets cold at night, even in summer). However, do not use umbrellas, as they block the vision of those behind you.
The decision on whether or not to cancel a performance will generally not be made before curtain-time (9.00 p.m.) the evening of the performance.
If a performance must be terminated (for instance because of extremely inclement weather) before 60 minutes of it have elapsed, ticket prices will be refunded (by bank transfer) on submission of the ticket. The ushers will provide the necessary forms for this purpose. A cash refund of the ticket price is not possible. Ticket-seller fees or commissions will not be refunded.
If the performance is terminated after at least an hour, no refund (or exchange of tickets for another date) will be made, as the performance will be considered to have taken place. This is customary for open-air performances in Germany.
